Psalms 37:7 NKJV
“Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret….”
To be honest, I don’t think I’m the right person or even have the right message to say in regards to ones waiting period/season; I don’t think I have the right words or encouragement tbh😅 But I felt led by The SPIRIT OF GOD, GOD; to share, encourage and bless by GOD’S grace in JESUS NAME, Amen Amen🙏
I’m in the waiting season of my life, and as at when this post is published; I literally had a break down 3 weeks before it; a serious breakdown.
I came home and I cried and said to GOD; I don’t think I’m handling this well; I don’t think I’m learning the lessons you want me to learn or building the character you want me to, can we skip to the end already?
This was me having a sincere cry out to God, being overwhelmed by fear, anxiety, worry, a lotttttttt of them. I just was so overwhelmed in not a good way and just felt defeated, helpless and hopeless. I expressed it all to GOD, cried it all out.
I Spent the next couple of days just doing something I guess I hadn’t done. I had poured it all out to GOD, and like Habakkuk took a rest and set my heart, my mind, my focus on GOD to speak to me; it wasn’t even about getting anything, it was just about letting GOD speak and hearing HIM.
Habakkuk 2:1 NKJV
“I will stand my watch And set myself on the rampart, And watch to see what He will say to me, And what I will answer when I am corrected.”
Lots of scriptures the SPIRIT OF THE LIVING GOD ministered to me and I’ll share below:
The Art Of Toiling
Remember the disciples in John 21 when they went fishing and had toil all night but caught nothing?
John 21:3 NKJV
“Simon Peter said to them, “I am going fishing.” They said to him, “We are going with you also.” They went out and immediately got into the boat, and that night they caught nothing.”
Then Jesus came (this was the third time HE was appearing to the disciples after HIS resurrection) and HE gave them a direction on where to cast their net to fish, and once they did; they caught fishes, lots of them….
John 21:6 NKJV
“And He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they cast, and now they were not able to draw it in because of the multitude of fish.”
They had toil day and night but when JESUS came into their situation, when they let GOD in, to direct them; they got net breaking miraculous results.
And I prayed meditated on this scripture as THE SPIRIT OF THE LIVING GOD led me, and I felt the same as the disciples did here, that I had be toiling and toiling but yet, nothing and it was leading to frustration.
I felt GOD also was leading me to take a break and stop toiling. Daughter just take a break, you are toiling in all this wrong things and places that’s why no result; So I took a break.
Let’s keep it more practical, it can be taking a break from trying to be in a relationships, applying for Jobs, seeking promotion at work, trying to control some situations and just go plainly, JUST AS you are to GOD. I took a break from the things frustrating me and I went back to the altar.
And tbh it can be the same way with you, you might need to first, stop toiling and Let GOD in that situation, take a break; go back to the altar, to GOD, even if it’s to renew strength, find joy, rest, find peace; find direction, leading, guidance.
Stop toiling and Let GOD in, and then listen to HIM; If he says wait, wait, if he says cast, you cast; as GOD leads you; Just Obey.
JESUS told the disciples to cast their net to the right, Peter was an experienced fisherman and can say that no I don’t think that’s the right way to do it or this and that, but they obeyed without giving any excuses and got result, thanks be to GOD; so likewise, JUST OBEY.
On This Mountain LORD, MY Faith Is Heightened
Now my focus changed when I took a break and went to GOD, I really just wanted to really koinonia with him and let HIM minister to me; I cried prayers of help, mercy, guidance, direction, grace. My focus changed to just wanting to experience GOD, for HIM to just minister to me
For some reason alongside this lyrics from Kaestrings Rahman which quotes the below
O Lord, My God; Daddy
All that i want Is your touch
On this mountain LORD,
My faith Is heightened, to drink from your love
Yesu, Mai Rahama
(Jesus, the merciful one)
Ga-ha-wa ye na
(here is my cry)
Ban da wani sai Kai
(I have no one but you)
The HOLY SPIRIT also ministered the story of the Israelites while they were waiting at mount Sinai for Moses to receive the commandments from GOD. They were waiting, they had an expectation but they succumbed to idolatory once they, in their own timing ‘waited too long’.
Delay caused them to sin:
Exodus 32:1 NKJV
“Now when the people saw that Moses delayed coming down from the mountain, the people gathered together to Aaron, and said to him, “Come, make us gods that shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.””
And so I knew like the Israelites, I was on my mountain of waiting, it’s not even delay like the Israelites thought, cos GOD was working, GOD was speaking to MOSES, they just couldn’t wait for it.
I know I said a prayer, LORD if you want me to stay on this mountain, I’ll stay but only with YOU and in YOU; YOU need to hold my hand, YOU need to strengthen me, YOU need to help me.
And the testimony of it is, how I have felt overwhelming peace, rest, joy; how I have even enjoyed fellowship with GOD; how GOD has ministered to me, overwhelmed me with love, compassion, assurance, how HE has ministered to me and comforted me, how HE is taking care of me; oh how I have seen JESUS is like none other, really; nothing I tell you, absolutely nothing compares to this!
And that’s what you need in waiting, TO Stay and LET GOD.
One Thing You Still Lack
I’m still learning, it’s a forever journey with GOD.
But the truth is we’ll always have waiting period/seasons, I don’t think we can ever avoid it as Christians and I don’t think we should.
I think to avoid it is even going out of God’s will; yes I do think waiting is in GOD’s will for us.
And I’ll tell you why from the below verse in the Bible:
James (Jacob) 1:2-4 TPT
My fellow believers, when it seems as though you are facing nothing but difficulties, see it as an invaluable opportunity to experience the greatest joy that you can! For you know that when your faith is tested it stirs up in you the power of endurance. And then as your endurance grows even stronger, it will release perfection into every part of your being until there is nothing missing and nothing lacking.”
To test your faith
To Teach you, for you to grow Spiritually
For you to be made perfect, lacking nothing
Ecclesiastes 3:1 NKJV
“To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven:”
Your waiting is just for season and it has a purpose.
You might think you are perfect but GOD wants to take you through something or teach you for you not to lack anything. What you still Lack might be obtained in waiting.
Mark 10:21 NKJV
“Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, “One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me.”
So Let your waiting have its perfect work in you, wait well, wait in God; that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
James 1:3-4 NKJV
“knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.”
And if you are confused, not sure if this is what I should wait on the LORD for or pray out; or how to wait; seek GOD’s leading and guidance:
James 1:5 NKJV
“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”
The Testament Is And Always Will Be For A Fact That: GOD IS EVER EVER GOOD🙏🙇♀️🙏😊
Now In all, when you really reflect you’ll see GOD IS GOOD. And GOD, really not in one second ever left you or forsook you.
I was telling my sister, really when I think about it; I see GOD’s love for me; I see HE actually prepared and equipped me for this period of my life, I see how in the week I had a break down was one of the best weeks I had at work, I see how GOD knew I needed good days that week.
Even a day after my break down, when looking for a scripture to read, GOD led me to read James, and I got stuck literally on James 1:1-4;
James 1:2 NKJV
“My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials,”
And this is how GOD has been teaching me, helping me, lifting me, reassuring me, ministering to me.
Just be reassured that you are never alone, even as GOD promises us, HE will never leave us nor forsake us.
Hebrews 13:5 NKJV
“Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.””
And be focused on the goal, what will matter at the end, as far as you are in GOD’S will; have rest.
Prayer
I just want you to just talk to GOD, your FATHER, cry out to HIM. Pour it all out to HIM, thank HIM, tell HIM your hurt, your fear, your worry and let HIM minister to you, just take time to bask in HIS presence and feel HIM, HIS presence, HIS LOVE; it might require you taking a rest maybe but give chance for HIM to minister to YOU🙏
And LORD, Heavenly Father I pray for as many people that are looking up to YOU for one thing or another, that YOU help them, that LORD they feel YOUR overwhelming love, peace and Joy, I pray YOU comfort them even as they wait on YOU, and I pray LORD that YOU do answer them LORD speedily according to your will LORD, I pray they find rest for their souls and their faith LORD JESUS, even as their faith is being tested, it won’t fail them LORD.
This we pray and ask in JESUS NAME, Amen Amen🙏
